Life with busy jobs, kids, stress of the daily grid can become overwhelming and feel like a never ending feat.  We all deserve a moment to slow down, to relax, to enjoy family and friends...you know, to enjoy the finer things in life.  Locating in Huntington Beach a few minutes from the beach, you can find an amazing place to wind down, relax and take time for yourself.  Come down and join us at Sealegs Wine Bar. Sealegs is an amazing wine bar with some of the finest eats in Southern California.  Voted OC Weekly's 2013 Best Wine Bar, Best California Cuisine by the Golden Foodie Awards and Gayot's Top 10 Restaurants in OC, Sealegs delivers in a big way.  We were invited for an official date night where we could sit back and enjoy life to the fullest.  We were greeted at the front door by Sealeg's amazing staff who walked us back to a beautiful lounge area.  The air was filled with great music and the room with a casual laid back entertaining area lined with couch style seating and small end tables surrounded by individual casual arm chairs.  The room can be converted into an amazing party room for every occasion.  We were joined by friends for some great conversation when our waiter brought us our first of three courses paired with amazing wines.


Our first course started with Quinoa Crab Fried Rice with an amazing white wine selection specially paired by the owner of the restaurant.  A truly amazing dish by the master chef which made us a new fan of quinoa.   Next, we were brought the Fresh Vegetable Flat Bread also paired with another finely selected white wine.  This dish was a Mediterranean style pizza and was amazing.  Then, they served the Charred Fillet Medallions which were cooked to perfection and paired with an incredible red wine by the fine wait staff.  After enjoying three great dishes, our waiter came to our table with a Divine Bananas Fosters and a beautiful sparkling white wine.  It was the perfect finish to the amazing dining experience.


Sealegs is a romantic, friendly, social and relaxing environment serving fine wines and delicious cuisine.  This restaurant and wine bar is perfect for completing a day at the beach, a romantic and relaxing date night, a night out to enjoy family and friends or simply for their Sunday Brunch.

Sealegs is locate at 21022 Beach Blvd. In Huntington Beach.  Open Monday through Friday 4  to 11:30 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 11:30 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 9:30 PM.  Champaign Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

State Testing CCSS SBAC is starting next week for our area.  This semester, my son's fourth grade teacher has asked that I write him a letter of encouragement.  She gave us a few weeks notice. I have, in the past few days, written a few handwritten notes of encouragement. Then, I would wake up the next day realizing that it was not loving enough and second guessing myself. This task has been a little hard for me.  Then, the final email reminder came from the teacher. It read as follow: "This is just a friendly reminder to please send a letter of encouragement to your student to be opened this coming Monday, May 1. Students will be given the letters prior to taking their first test."  Oh my goodness, I have to get it done!!! So, I put on my big girl pants and re-wrote the letter for the 5th time. Learn how to make a California Mission Model at home or in the classroom. We made this project as part of the California Public School Fourth grade requirement in a group setting. Continue to read on to get the supply list and instructions for a successful mission model. On an ordinary day, I was reminded how amazing kids really are when there are no limits. Just as equally amazing are the teachers who guide them and teach them everyday.  I am very thankful for the opportunity that I was given as a parent volunteer.  The day was like a beautiful dance where parents, teachers and students came together for a common goal. The goal was to make models of California Missions from a simple picture and lots of cardboard.  I can honestly say the goal was reached and everyone deserved an "A".

Yes, I am crafter. I make Tulle Tutu's for Sale. This holiday season I will be making these beautiful tutu gift packages for sale. I have been cutting and knotting to make beautiful pink girly tutu's for ages zero months up to adult size. Selling these handmade items will help me continue to fund family field trips and this blog. I traditional make them every year around this same time and I sell them around town.
