National Doughnut Day - June 1st

June 1st is National Doughnut Day and Krispy Kreme will be having free Doughnuts!!!!

Tomorrow you are totally allowed to go off the diet and have a delicious hot yummy doughnut. To help you see what I mean, let me share our field trip adventure to Krispy Kreme with pictures.

On the job training....
We were doing some research on how to make yummy doughnuts. The plan was to find out the who, what, where of doughnut making. Both little boys were ready to do extra homework and taste as many doughnuts as their little tummys could hold. Too bad they were only allowed one doughnut each. Bummer!!!
Sharing was the plan on how to handle this assignment. Everyone tasted a little of this and a little of that doughnut. Chocolate was the family favorite. But the glaze doughnut was not too bad either.

The Doughnuts are marching to the fryer to get cooked!!! Only one doughnut fe1l on the floor and it was so sad to see it get lost from the pack. But the rest completed their journey. Yipee!!
A big selection of hot doughnuts is waiting for customers to buy and share with their loved ones. We took a few extras home.

The clerks were super friendly and they asked us to come back for another visit. (We most definitely will visit again.)
As we walked to leave they had started cooking the Apple Fritters........

Tomorrow will be National Doughnut Day and Krispy Kreme will be giving away free doughnuts. No purchase necessary. But you will want to buy a coffee or milk. YOU just can not eat a doughnut without washing it down with milk or coffee. Just a heads up!

Field Trip Idea: Krispy Kreme has a large glass window for customers to view how they make their yummy doughnuts. The kids are able to stand outside the window and view the entire processes of doughnut making. From making the dough to frying them. Everything is in plain view.  Kids will love the entire process and then they get to eat a yummy treat.  It is really fun to watch kids get glued to the glass window waiting for the hot fresh doughnuts. Free Field Trip tomorrow.....

I'll probably head on over to Krispy Kreme a little later to get my sugar fix.

Love this post, great idea and I bet your boys loved it =)

I've always been a fan of Krispy Kreme, they didn't last long in Minnesota, but happy to see they're alive and hopping in California =)
