I have always wanted to publish a book. My thoughts were that I would someday write an inspirational book about getting out and exploring a town with your family. So when I was given the opportunity to create a customized book, I said yes. The people with Twigtale were kind enough to get me started with a $25.00 gift certificate. (I was nervous getting started.)
I first toured the website Twigtale. Reading their story made me feel as though I wanted a book of my own. So off I went into the middle of night when everyone was asleep to create a book of my very own. All I really needed was pictures and my imagination. As I began to look through all my photos, I realized that a funny loving book would be the perfect gift for my husband. I had a theme: ''I Love You Dad!".
Making the book was really easy. What I found hard to do is pick the pictures and write a story with the picture. I found myself wanting the perfect quotes and the perfect pictures on every single page. Mix and matching with the writing proved to be a little challenging for me. I wanted it to be the perfect book and our family has so many fond memories. My quest for perfection delayed the end result. Once I hit send the book made it to me in a few short days.
I learned so much from this experience. One, is that you don't need lots of money to make a book for your family or friends. Two, it does not take very much time to make a book. Three, my entire family loves having a book with their pictures in it.

I think I might make a few more books because my kids and husband fought over who would read it first. My next book will be about saying good-bye to pre-school and second grade. Please don't tell my kids, it is a surprise. I am currently collecting the pictures.
I hope you get a chance to tell your story by making a book. Please share if you have made one or if you make one.
